I am continuing my "cash-only" challenge this month and it's still going well. We are well below budget at this point in time, which is awesome!
We were out of town earlier this week and I had the opportunity to shop at a few stores at which I normally don't shop. I even got $10 free to spend at the grocery store!
I stopped at two different Target stores in the Milwaukee area and found several great deals. You can read the details in this post.
Spent $6.24 total.
I also stopped at Aldi and Metro Market (a Copps' affiliate) while we were gone. At Metro Market, I found a coupon in the parking lot for $10 off a $10 purchase, so I got free groceries! Read about that shopping in this post.
Spent $20.51 total.
On Friday, we picked up a few items at Festival:
- Oscar Mayer salami, $2
- Boneless spare ribs, $5.12 ($1.89/lb.!)
- Ground beef, $8.76
- Farmland bacon, $3.49
- Crystal Farms singles, $2
- 2 Flavorite chunk cheese (8 oz. each), $1.66 each
- 2 Philly cream cheese, $0.99
- Old Orchard concentrate, $1.87
- Minute Maid OJ concentrate, $2.39
- Fresh mushrooms, $0.99 (with mailer coupon)
- 3 Super Chill ginger ale, $1.98 for all (with mailer coupon)
*I also picked up my free 8x10 print at Walgreens! It was absolutely free - I didn't even pay tax.
Total spending this week: $60.83.
Total spending in June: $137.53 (out of $250 allocated).
You are having a great month!! Even better that it is your first all cash month. I wish that I was doing as well but I have not gotten anything this month with only $5.43 spent so far!!! We are most likely going to run out of food before I make it to the store. Summer vacation is hard to find time without my son to make it to the store!!! I am super jealous of how great you are doing and can't wait to hear the cash month in review.
ReplyDeleteSo far, June is going much better than May did!
DeleteI'm looking forward to reviewing my cash-only month! It's been good so far.
