I took a bit of a break from intense couponing this week. It's difficult to keep spending to a minimum when you don't have any shopping options near home. And sometimes I just feel like I need a break from intense couponing. I still used coupons on quite a few items, but I didn't shop like I normally would. We still came out pretty well on shopping for this week, and I don't expect to buy much of anything next week, other than milk.

(3 lbs.) Over-ripe bananas $0.89 (These were a produce markdown. I snagged one bag - and I didn't think the bananas were too over-ripe - and sliced & froze them for smoothies and banana bread/muffins.)

Kwik Trip
(1 dozen) Large eggs $1.29 (Yikes - the price shot back up! They're usually $0.79.)

I spent $4.25 on cards and napkins at church. They are getting rid of all the old cards and packages of napkins by selling them at .25 each, so I stocked up a bit!

Yikes! That number is scary! I'm not going to over-stress about it, though. I think I'm basically done with shopping for the month of November. We're going to my in-laws for Thanksgiving, so I won't have to buy anything for that holiday. I do have to get us some Zyrtec, but that will be $4.00 at Dollar General.
Sometimes, I just have to cut myself some slack on the budget. Last month was great and this is a learning experience for me. With the holidays approaching, I just have to be as careful as possible - and I need to remember to relax!
