Weekly To Do List 11/14

I really need to make sure I give myself a to do list each week. It makes it so much easier to get things done if I can see it written down. I made myself a to do list this weekend and it was amazing how much I accomplished!

Crystal at Money Saving Mom has been talking Time Management lately. And she's got me thinking. A home management binder of some sort might actually be very useful for me. I don't have kids - yet - but I am a very organized person by nature! If I don't have a plan for my week, I am not very efficient or productive. Yes, I think I need to work up some kind of plan to keep myself organized. I'll add that to this week's to do list...see below!

I have finished my Graduate seminar project, so now I can focus more on blogging in my free time. I am going to try to keep to a blogging schedule so I can be more productive and efficient with my blogging. I want to get more topical posts up now that I'm done with school. (Hooray!!)

Here's a few of the ideas I have for posts in the future:
  • A series about my price book: how/why to keep one; a list of my "buy prices"
  • A series about menu planning: why, how, benefits, etc.
  • What we scrimp on and what we pay more for (our "brand loyalties")
  • Tips for shopping when you live in a small town.
  • How to live with and cook in a small kitchen.
  • Benefits of small town life. (Yes, there are benefits!)
Here's what I need to do this week:
  • Laundry - one load whites, one load darks - Wed. AM
  • Follow-up with school about applying for graduation - MONDAY
  • Vacuum.
  • Dust.
  • Work on Christmas gift list for family, along with a budget for Christmas shopping. It's a work in progress! We did start shopping this weekend...
  • Write biography for church directory.
  • Make treats for Fellowship time (on Sunday).
  • Prepare Sunday School lesson. (Maybe I'll actually have children to teach next Sunday?!)
  • Put together a "time management plan" for myself. I did start working on this!
And here's my blogging plan:
  • Monday 11/15: Link up menu plan.
  • Tuesday 11/16: Burnstad's deals; start Festival's deals; DG WOW Savings deals
  • Wednesday 11/17: Aldi Special Buys; Walmart deals (?); topical post (?)
  • Thursday 11/18: finish Festival's deals; Copps' deals
  • Friday 11/19: Walgreens deals; Super Savings Saturday post, also did DG Black Friday
  • Saturday 11/20: Kmart deals; next week's menu plan; link Walgreens & SSS posts
  • Sunday 11/21: weekly to-do list; publish menu plan
What about you? Do you have a time management plan? How do you make sure to stay productive? What other ideas do you have for posts - topics you'd like to learn about?
