Shopping trip: Walmart

I had to make another trip to Walmart this week to get the rest of my husband's prescription (grrr...their Pharmacy just drives me crazy!) and I grabbed a few items while I was there. Not everything is pictured.

Vinegar, $2.38
Vaseline Intensive Rescue (10 oz.), $1.97 (used $1 off coupon from 1/29 RP)
Vaseline Total Moisture (3 oz.), FREE (used $1 off coupon from 1/29 RP)
Sour cream (16 oz.), $1.58
Cheese rolls, $1.95 (markdown rack)
Spent $8.07.

*I tried to use the $6 off Tena printable coupon but it was a no go. I found the liners and was hoping to get the overage, but the cashier could not get the coupon to scan. She told me that Walmart has a new policy to not accept an Internet coupon when it won't scan (they refuse to enter the numbers manually). Has anyone heard of this new policy?

  1. Here is the Walmart coupon policy. I have printed it and carry it with me since the cashiers are not trained well.

Sometimes a store manager is called and once he reads the policy the coupons usually get taken off.
Thanks for you blog, I enjoy it.

    1. @ AdoptionMom - Thanks for that link! I see now that Internet-printed coupons must be scannable.

I printed the $7/1 Tena coupon a few days ago and that one scanned just fine at Walmart yesterday. Very weird! I do see now that the coupon policy allows for the overage to be applied to other items, and the cashier did not do that for me. :(
