Shopping on Saturday: Meat stock-up!

On Saturday, I headed to Tomah to do a large grocery shopping trip. This turned out to be my big meat stock-up trip for March. I hadn't intended to buy so much meat, but I found several fantastic deals. This should make the rest of the month's shopping much easier!

When I purchase meat, I generally buy the larger packages (family size). When I get home, I package the meat into meal-size packages using my Food Saver vacuum sealing machine (similar to this machine). Those packages are what you see on the top shelf of my freezer in the picture above.

*The chicken was marked down ($2 off per package), so I bought the remaining three packages. This was cheaper than buying it pre-frozen!
