We did pretty good on our menu last week. On Friday, we had doctor appointments in Tomah in the late afternoon, so we had an impromptu "date" at a restaurant in Tomah! It was our first nicer (i.e., not fast food!) dinner out since we moved two months ago. We very rarely go out to eat - it's definitely a luxury for us!
Confirmation Class continues on Wednesday afternoons (3:30-5:00) this week. Church also continues on Wednesday nights, at 7:00. I am planning quick meals for Wednesday nights (possibly leftovers!) - and might be taking them to church so we can eat there!
Here's this week's menu plan:
Sunday: Grilled Chicken, Salad, Potatoes (maybe grilled?)
Monday: Cheeseburger Rice, Veggies, Butterhorns
Tuesday: Mini Carnitas Tacos - This is a new recipe for me - from one of my GF cookbooks!
Wednesday: Breakfast for dinner, hash browns
I have a feeling we might be switching Wed. and Thurs. night's meals. My husband has a busy day on Wed. at church (we eat dinner there!) and will be gone all day on Thursday.
Thursday: Leftovers
Friday: Pizza Chicken - either grilled or in the oven, depending on the day!
Saturday: Grilled Marinated Pork
For breakfast, we each grab what we want: waffles, muffins, pancakes, cold cereal, yogurt, etc.
For lunch, I usually eat leftovers. Every once in a while, I allow myself a grilled cheese sandwich with Udi's bread, but that is a special treat! My husband eats a sandwich or leftovers - he takes his lunch to work 2-3 days a week and comes home 1-2 times a week, depending on his schedule. Occasionally, I take lunch to church and we eat there together.
