I have nothing to report for Super Savings Saturday this week. And that's great news! After blowing the November grocery budget last week, I didn't spend anything this week.
I did spend about 5.00 (milk and allergy medicine), but I used one of my gift cards (earned from taking surveys) for those purchases. Because of that, no money came out of the grocery and household section of our budget.
I like to keep the gift cards for instances like this. They sure do help stretch the budget! I also usually buy my newspaper with my gift cards (I only buy a newspaper once or twice a month now).
We have one more week to get through without spending money. We'll be gone for Thanksgiving (at my in-laws), so it shouldn't be too hard. It does mean that I won't be shopping at all on Black Friday, unless it's for a Christmas gift. With no money left in our grocery and household section of the budget, I won't be able to hit Walgreens on Thursday or Friday. I'm not too upset about that, though - staying home will be much more relaxing!
