Super Savings Saturday 11/27

I had 28.80 left to spend for the month of November. After thinking I had nothing left, it was nice to find out that I actually did have nearly 30.00!

I am trying to "shop ahead" for December. We are hosting a dinner for the church council in mid-December. We will have my in-laws here for Christmas and then my family should be visiting around New Year's. So we'll have extra people to feed at different times during the month. I hope to not have to raise the budget amount for groceries and household items, but we'll see how things play out! I'm just going to be flexible!

I'll be posting our Christmas spending total here, too. We did not budget a specific amount, but we aim to keep it on the lower end. My husband and I are more focused on the true meaning of Christmas - the baby who was born to save us from our sins! Neither of us like "stuff," so we try to give practical gifts to our families. The money we spend will come out of the "leftover" money in our monthly budget. We started in November, so that will help spread out the expense.

My total budget for all grocery, household and health & beauty items is 40.00 per week, so 160.00 for the month of November. During November, we were right on target!
