Pizza Pie {Gluten Free!}

Here's a simple and frugal recipe for Pizza Pie. It's similar to a meatloaf and is absolutely delicious! It's also extremely easy to make gluten free.

Pizza Pie

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. ground beef.
  • 1/3 c. milk.
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs (use gluten free!).
  • 1/2 tsp. salt (or garlic salt).
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper.
  • 1 egg.
  • shredded mozzarella cheese, divided.
  • Pepperoni, cut up into small pieces.
  • Mushrooms, cut up into small pieces.
  • 1/2-2/3 c. pizza sauce (homemade is delicious!).
Directions
  1. Mix the meat, milk, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, and egg together, as if you are making a meatloaf. Cut in pepperoni and mushrooms, along with about 1/3-1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese. Mix well.
  2. Press meat mixture into a pie plate.
  3. Spread the pizza sauce over the top.
  4. Bake at 400 degrees for about 25 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle cheese on top and {if you wish} add some whole pieces of pepperoni on the top, too.
  6. Bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
