Weekly Goals 12/19: Lots of Christmas baking!

After being out of town last weekend and surviving without a schedule (and enjoying it, too!), it was so nice to be back to "real life" this week! I feel like I spent most of the week playing "catch up," but I think I am finally actually caught up.

I have plenty of final Christmas preparations to do this week, but I've spread them out throughout the entire week. This will allow me to not forget the real reason for this Advent and Christmas season - the birth of Jesus!

Here's what I accomplished last week:

Family Goals
  • Love my husband.
  • Eat five servings of fruits and veggies every day, and record those servings. (This is part of a six week incentive program with our health insurance.) We finished! We should receive our incentive in January. I definitely think this program helped up create a new healthy habit (see this week's goals below)!
Personal Goals
  • Catch up on emails after being out of town. I finally cleared out my inboxes on Saturday night. Whew!
  • Look into ordering bridesmaid dress. I think we're still doing research on this...
  • Finish reading "168 Hours." I read most of this book on the train on Monday and I am really enjoying it. I did finish this - and I highly recommend this book! There were some parts I didn't agree with (like outsourcing practically everything in your home), but overall, it was a very practical book!
Home Management Goals
  • Make Christmas gift tags with Tiny Prints sample cards. This never happened last week - so we'll try again! Yep, got these done - just need to attach them to gifts this week.
  • Make chocolate-covered pretzels and Christmas cookies for staff gifts. We finished the staff gifts over the weekend.
  • Freeze carrots. I have come to the conclusion that this is not going to happen - and not because I don't have time. It won't happen because there is NO room in my freezer!
  • Finish and mail Christmas cards. (Purchase stamps?) We mailed our cards today!
  • Order 2012 planner (for me) and books (for my husband) from Amazon. Done! We're just awaiting arrival now. :)
Blog Goals
  • Write a post about train travel when you're gluten free. This didn't even come close to happening. I think this will likely happen during the week after Christmas.

As we prepare for Christmas and our Advent King, here are my goals this week:

Family Goals
  • Love my husband.
  • Continue eating 3-5 servings of vegetables every day.
