Found your page through moneysavingmom... great goals and books to read! I had our first child in June so I read many of these books this year... I especially liked First Time Mom by Kevin Leman and Loving the Little Years. One more to add if you're looking(don't think it's on there) - Spirit-Led Parenting by Megan Tietz (sortacrunchy.com) - that was my favorite I read this year about parenting. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Kelly!
DeleteI'm glad I picked a few good ones! :)
I added "Spirit-Led Parenting" to my "additional books to read" list...it keeps getting longer and longer! ;)
Great list! (I found you through MSM). I have read several on this list, but there were some new ones that I want to check into! If you have time for more, Unbroken is a wonderful book!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Johanna! And thanks for the suggestion.
DeleteHello I also found your blog from MSM. One of my new years resolutions is to read more marriage books. I am a mom with another lil' one on the way and feel that my marriage sometimes get put on the back burner. Do you have any suggestions? Maybe something that both my husband & I can read together.
ReplyDeleteHere are a few suggestions from marriage books that I have (my husband has read a few of them, too):
Delete1. Five Love Languages - excellent book!
2. Love and Respect - another excellent book!
3. The Meaning of Marriage (Keller) - I read this last year.
4. Power of a Praying Wife is also a good one (but just for you!).
5. I also just read Courageous (by Alcorn) - that's a great book about families and fathers specifically.
6. Fireproof is also a great book about marriage.
There are so many more out there - I have a long list, some for this year and more for the future!
*In particular, I think Five Love Languages and Love & Respect are great ones to read together.
