Shopping Trip: Aldi

While I was in Tomah on Tuesday, I picked up a number of pantry staples, as well as some fresh items, at Aldi.

Russet potatoes, 10 lb. bag, $3.29
California Medley veggies, $1.09
2 shredded cheese, $3.49 ea. (Yikes! Cheese went up again!)
Strawberries, .99
Carrots, 2 lbs., $1.29
Baby carrots, 1 lb., .99
Garlic salt, .99
Powdered sugar, 2 lbs., $1.49
Boneless/skinless chicken breasts, $5.49
Instant rice, $1.29
Olive oil, $2.99
Pepperoni, $1.99
Onions, 3 lbs., $1.69
2 tortilla chips, $1.19 ea.
2 tomato sauce, .29 ea.
2 tomato paste, .39 ea.
Butter, $2.69 (Another yikes! Unfortunately, I'm almost out of my supply in the freezer.)
Spent $37.05.

I can't believe the price of cheese now!. Cheese is a main staple in our house, though - I can't live without my cheese. And around here, buying it by the block is really no cheaper in the end. In many stores (including Aldi), block cheese is more expensive per pound than shredded! :(
