I've opted to not set goals for this week. Instead, I want to focus on enjoying what's left of the Christmas season! I also plan on enjoying having my hubby home for a few days. :)
Here's what I accomplished last week - we ended up having a funeral on Thursday/Friday, so out already busy week became even busier...
Family Goals
- Love my husband.
- Continue eating 3-5 servings of vegetables every day. I did pretty well with this last week.
Personal Goals
- Read "Organized Simplicity" by Tsh Oxenreider. I'm working on this book now and really enjoying it!
Wrap final few presents and put gift tags on all gifts.Write thank you cards for Christmas gifts.- Order bridesmaid dress? I plan on ordering this sometime this week.
- Christmas cooking and baking:
I did a lot of baking last week - you can read my wrap-up in this post.
- Gluten Free Cream Wafers
- Gluten Free Toffee Chocolate Chip Cookies (my grandma's recipe - I'm attempting a GF conversion!) These turned out to be delicious - you can grab the recipe in this post!
- Original Chex Party Mix
- Chocolate-covered pretzels (both regular and gluten free)
- Breakfast bread item (not GF) - some ideas are: Pumpkin Cheesecake Muffins, Cinnamon Rolls, Cinnamon Swirl Bread, Cinnamon Roll Bread, or maybe I'll go the gluten free route and make this Chocolate Bread.
- Dinner rolls (not GF) - either these rolls or classic Butterhorns.
- Cookie Dough Truffles (my husband says I need to make another batch of these!)
Minor cleaning before guests: clean bathrooms, dust, sweep.
Repost Part 4 ofSurviving the Holidays Gluten Freeon Friday.
While I'm not setting a list of specific goals this week, here's a few things I would like to accomplish:
- Order bridesmaid dress from David's Bridal.
- Write post about train travel when you are gluten free (Tuesday).
- Write review of Money Saving Mom's book (Wednesday).
- Drop off recycling (Wednesday).
