Weekly Goals 1/9: Survival Mode

So...last week, I said that things would be back to normal at our house. Boy, was I ever wrong about that! On Wednesday, my in-laws came back to our house and we spent Thursday & Friday at the nursing home with my husband's grandmother; she passed away on Friday afternoon. Then, my husband's grandfather was in and out of the hospital all weekend. At this point, I'm fairly certain that the drama is not over!

I wasn't able to accomplish all of my goals last week, but I did fairly well with the little amount of time that I had.

Family Goals
  • Love my husband.
  • Eat 3-5 servings of fruits and vegetables each day.

Personal Goals
  • Continue reading my current book. I finished my first book for January (and started another one - we read a lot at the nursing home!).
  • Finalize my 2012 DIY projects list. I did finalize this list and I posted it on Tuesday. I do hope January calms down enough for me to get my first project done.
  • Finalize my 2012 goals. This hasn't happened yet...I'm hoping this happens by the end of January...

Home Management Goals
  • Make homemade chicken broth.
  • Make homemade crockpot applesauce. Thankfully, I made both the chicken broth and crockpot applesauce on Monday, so it was done before the craziness ensued!
  • Tally receipts for November and December (for tax purposes). I did this on Saturday night just because I wanted to have it done.

Blogging Goals
  • Post 2012 DIY projects list (Tuesday). This list was posted on Tuesday.
  • Post 2012 goals (Wednesday). Like I said above, this is still a work in progress!

This week, there is just one goal in our house: SURVIVE! We'll have the interment on Tuesday (plus more family time before that). Then my husband and I are heading south to St. Louis for a much-needed break!

I honestly don't have any major goals for this week, but here's what absolutely needs to happen:
