Menu Plan 11/20: Cheeseburger rice, turkey {of course!}, and more!

Happy Thanksgiving! What are your plans for this Thursday? And will you be among the crazy people who shop at the crack of dawn on Friday?!

{By the way, I think I'm allowed to call Black Friday shoppers "crazy" because I have worked at a large department store at 4 AM on Black Friday. No joke. I was even crazy enough to do it twice. It is absolutely insane and I have no idea why any shopper would subject themselves to such insanity! I shop year-round, thankyouverymuch!}

We'll be heading to my husband's parents' house for a quiet Thanksgiving with them. Thursday will consist of Packers football and lots of food, I'm sure. On Black Friday, I'll be bringing you some hot deals from the comfort of the couch. I may venture out to Walgreens on Friday afternoon. Maybe. :)

And I'm happy to report that we did a much better job following our menu plan this past week, unlike the week before!

Sunday: Cheeseburger rice, veggies.

Monday: Chicken and Veggie Skillet dinner with fried potatoes. I will use green peppers, carrots, sweet peas, and onions in mine.

Tuesday: Ranch chicken (I leave out the oats), Easy Roasted Potatoes, salad with Artisan lettuce.

Wednesday: Leftovers.

Thursday: Turkey Day! I'm responsible for regular rolls, gluten free rolls, and a pumpkin dessert.

Friday: Who knows!

Saturday: I have no idea what time we'll be home, so I'm playing this night by ear.

For breakfast, we each grab what we want: waffles, muffins, cinnamon rolls, pancakes, cold cereal, yogurt, etc.

For lunch, I usually eat leftovers or something simple, like grilled cheese or quesadillas. My husband eats a sandwich or leftovers - he takes his lunch to work most days.

  3. Sounds like a sane way to sail through Thanksgiving week. I am too faint-hearted to venture out on Black Friday and I can't remember ever doing it in the past.

  4. @ Wendy - Yep, I've never actually intentionally shopped on Black Friday. I don't care much for shopping any day. :)

    However, on the Black Friday's that I've worked, I will say that I have picked up some of the hot deals when I got off. Why not - I had suffered at the register for 9 hours already!
